It is important to note that the price of cannabis may vary depending on the location and dispensary. Additionally, the cost of cannabis is affected by the quantity purchased. You’ll find that an ounce is a little pricier in Seattle, running an average of $281. That’s more than $20 over the national average. Fortunately, you can find at least a few dispensaries offering an ounce for less. And comparison shopping can save you somewhere around $600 per year on your favorite strains, assuming you pick up an ounce per month.

It’ll run you an average of $252 to pick up an ounce in Portland. But you’ll find some dispensaries offering an ounce for an average as low as $169. That means you can potentially save more than $1,000 per year, if you pick up an ounce per month.

Price of an ounce in Los Angeles

You can expect to pay an average of $240 per ounce in the City of Angels. But you can find dispensaries offering an ounce for an average of $149. That’s a savings of around $100 per month, assuming you go through an ounce about once every 30 days.

Price of an ounce in San Francisco

It’ll cost you an average of $291 for an ounce in San Francisco. Not surprisingly, San Francisco is one of the more costly cities on our list for purchasing cannabis. Yet it’s still possible to find some great deals. You can pick up an ounce from some dispensaries for an average as low as $248.

Price of an ounce in Phoenix

You can expect to pay an average of $231 in Phoenix for an ounce. But look for dispensaries offering averages as low as $130 an ounce. If you pick up an ounce per month, you can save somewhere around $1,000 or more per year.

Price for an ounce in Detroit

If you’re looking for an ounce in Detroit, you can expect to pay somewhere around $272 on average. Yet several dispensaries are offering better-than-average deals. In some cases, you can find an ounce for as low as $185.

As one of the most expensive cities on our list for purchasing cannabis, you’ll pay an average of somewhere around $290 for an ounce in San Diego. Fortunately, you’ll find some dispensaries offering an ounce for less.

The average price for an ounce of cannabis in Las Vegas is about $321, which makes it the most expensive city on our list. But shopping around can save you somewhere around $60 or more per month, assuming you pick up an ounce every 30 days or so.
