Recreational marijuana became legal in California on January 1, 2018. But if you’re looking around for recreational dispensaries in Los Angeles, you might notice that your options are limited.
That’s because many shops are waiting on licenses.
The new rules in California state that cannabis shops have to get permits locally before being granted a state license. That applies to medical and recreational stores.
For now, the only recreational dispensaries in Los Angeles you’ll find are in West Hollywood. And there are only five currently selling.
So not only are the dispensaries, or adult-use shops, on this list the “best,” they are, well, the only.
