For example, the average price for a quarter of marijuana in Seattle is about $70. In Denver, it’s $54. And in San Francisco, it’s $83.
The amount you’ll spend on a quarter also largely varies by the strain that you’re buying. A popular strain like Blue Dream, for example, may run you more in some cities than others, depending on availability, grower and other factors.

The average of a quarter in Portland is about $66, about $6 less than you would have paid in September. But it’s worth shopping around in the area, especially for Portland’s most popular strains like Blue Dream, Skywalker and Gorilla Glue.

The average price of a quarter in San Francisco is around $83, or about $1 more than you would have paid in September. Of course, finding better-than-average deals in the area isn’t tough. Dispensaries like Love Shack and Buena Leaf typically offer great deals on popular strains.
You can save somewhere around $30 by finding dispensaries offering better-than-average rates.
Price of a quarter in Phoenix
You can expect to pay around $71 for a quarter of weed in Phoenix, around $7 less than you would have paid in September. But that’s the average. There are dispensaries offering a quarter for much less. Expect to save nearly $20 on your favorite strains by shopping around.
Price for a quarter in Detroit
The average for a quarter in Detroit is around $69, or $2 less than you would have paid just a month ago. But as you can see below, there are several dispensaries offering deals below that average.
Doing some shopping around can save you around $20 per purchase in Detroit.
Price for a quarter in San Diego
On average, you’ll pay about $95 for a quarter in San Diego. That’s about $3 less than you would have paid last month, but it’s also the most expensive price for a quarter out of all nine cities on our list.
Fortunately, there are better deals to be had. Simply shopping around in San Diego can save you $300 or more per year. And that’s if you’re only buying a quarter per month.

The average price for a quarter of cannabis in Las Vegas is about $95, or $3 more than is was last month. Of course, comparison shopping can save you some cash.
