The national average cost for a quarter of weed is around $74. That’s about $1 more than it was at this time last year, when you could pick up a quarter for an average of $73. But what you’ll pay for a quarter really depends on where you live, the season and various other factors.
On average, a half ounce of cannabis costs between $110 and $130, reducing the cost per gram to between $10 and $13, which is approximately half of what you would pay if you bought each piece individually.
For example, the average price for a quarter of marijuana in Las Vegas is about $82. In Denver, it’s $59. And in Los Angeles, it’s $68.
The amount you’ll spend on a quarter also largely varies by the strain that you’re buying and the quality. A popular strain like Blue Dream, for example, may run you more in some cities than others, depending on availability, grower and other factors.
